The massively successful NoKings2.0 has again underlined Donald Trump’s four failing MAGA fascist roots: male dominance; global white dominance; US financial dominance; and the end of fossil/nuclear fuels.

They’re all linked to the impending collapse of the petro-dollar, the century-old pillar of American prosperity, about to disappear.

Autocratic hucksters like Adolph Hitler and Donald Trump have forever feasted on the human inability to cope with a perceived loss of status.

Hitler’s Nazi putsch was rooted in Germany’s inability to accept losing World War I.

Deutschland’s “Christian” misogynists had ultimate faith in their assumed superiority. Their “incomprehensible” 1918 defeat was made unbearable by the 1929 crash.

So Hitler’s Mein Kampf promised to make Germany “great again.”

Under the thumb of Adolph’s white male Master Race, women were defined by the KKK: Kirche (church) Kitchen (cooking) & Kinder (kids). Gays were untermenchen. Jews, gypsies, slavs, trans, Jehovah Witnesses, immigrants…all were “vermin,” fit only for extermination.

Democracy of the kind we see at NoKings contradicted Der Fuhrer’s Divinely ordained Calvinist Reich. Dissent remains a sign of Satan.

“Christianity” for the Nazis was a cultural artifact. Jesus was window dressing, the inconvenient messenger of soft-headed empathy, to be forever crucified and ignored.

The True Nazi/MAGA god remains a macho mobster…violent, dictatorial, greedy, cruel.

Hitler’s Master Race assumed itself to be superior to all other nations and races…and thus invincible. A “stab in the back” from a 1% population of Jews and minimal numbers of other scattered minorities was the only plausible explanation for “impossible” defeat. “Betrayal” remains the blinding con, flashed by monstrous hucksters to sell a declining nation on fascist obedience.

MAGA is likewise rooted in the “we’re #1…Greatest Nation On Earth…Manifest Destiny…American exceptionalism” with which we were all raised.

But in the big picture, MAGA/Trump can’t handle the epic shift in global power from men to women.

Nor the fall of the British Empire, the American defeat in Vietnam, the non-white tsunami flooding the globe.

And certainly not China’s obliteration of the American Century.

Thus US economic hegemony sinks in classic imperial overreach. Corporate complacency, fiscal greed, class stratification, homelessness, hunger, dis-education, medical injustice, ecological suicide, plutocratic arrogance, senile incompetence…they’re all bigly embodied in Donald Trump.

Our national self-immolation is happening in embrittled reactors and rotted fossil burners.

While Trump (in partnership with California’s Gavin Newsom) assaults the cheap, fast-to-build renewables now winning the 21st Century, China rides to global dominance with battery technology (named by Benjamin Franklin) and PhotoVoltaics (invented at Bell Labs), letting the Middle Kingdom corner history’s biggest growth market as it slashes its domestic energy costs.

China’s transcendent green dominance includes an electric vehicle industry now completely conquering the global showroom.

Priced out of PV, EV, wind and batteries, with unsustainable, uncompetitive domestic energy costs, facing an uncertain, over-hyped AI/crypto scene, America’s industrial future is all but gone.

The fiscal cost of this fossil/nuke self-immolation has been magnified by Trump’s insane tariffs… and by his know-nothing assault on two of America’s most treasured (and profitable) national assets—-our institutions of higher learning, and our iconic tourist industry.

Both now slide forever into Trump’s hellhole of ICE.

None of this was imaginable in a nation that within our lifetime was the mythic bastion of world empire, economic supremacy, technological mastery, and all the chocolate bars and movie stars the world could ever want.

But it will all be definitively gone when China and its BRICS allies finally obliterate the petro-dollar, the sole remaining relic of American prosperity.

Meanwhile our Constitution is torched by a senile dictator and his billionaire buds, wholly defined by fascist fealty to cruelty, greed, mean-spirited obsolescence, fake religious obedience.

As uppity women, people of color and an increasingly diverse post-imperial planet push themselves toward a green-powered future, the US is all but doomed by MAGA Project 2025’s supremely ugly Tech Bro-financed / flag-waving / trans-fearing / fossil-nuke / one-dollar-one-vote inability to face a sustainable future based on human compassion, ecological empathy, humble wisdom.

As we’ve seen at the No Kings marches, and in countless corners of human resistance, Solartopian survival does remain possible.

But it hinges on the thinnest of loving threads.
